Terms of Guarantee

In compliance with the document for the « determination of suitable and objective systems for the detection and certification of data relating to exhibitors and visitors at exhibitions of international and national standing » approved by the Conference of Presidents of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces, with its own resolution of 16 December 2004, ISFCERT has established standardised methods and procedures for measuring and verifying quantitative and qualitative data concerning visitors, exhibitors and exhibition spaces.

ISFCERT Certification is backed up by the recognition of the Observatory for the Italian Trade Fair System 29 September 2005, which attributes to the institute the qualification of body qualified to certify trade fairs.

Terms of impartiality

The Committee for Safeguarding Impartiality of ISFCERT guarantees impartiality through a committee composed of individuals with, in various capacities, documented expertise on the dynamics of the national and international exhibition industry. Moreover, the participants in the « Committee for Safeguarding Impartiality » have characteristics of total independence as they have no direct economic relations, in existence, with potential Clients of ISFCERT (exhibition organisers).

The task of the committee is to monitor procedures and behaviour of ISFCERT and its bodies, in the application of the certification process, to ensure the safeguarding of impartiality by ISFCERT towards the reference market.

ISFCERT Objectives

ISFCERT certifies basic information on trade fairs in order to:

  • obtain the attribution of the qualification of events by the competent bodies and contribute to the formation of the Italian Exhibition Calendar;
  • protect the right to correct information of those who participate as users in trade fairs;
  • verify the consistency of Italian regulations with international ones by participating in the institutional activity of UFI (The Global Association of The Exhibition Industry);
  • to ensure the presence of Italian trade fairs in world trade fair rankings.
