About Us
ISFCERT – Institute for the Certification of Trade Fair Statistical Data – was created to meet the need for certainty and transparency of data on international and national trade fair events for the benefit of trade fair users in the context of international competition.
ISFCERT supports itself through its certification activities.
ISFCERT consists of the associations representing the Italian trade fair system:
AEFI – Association of Italian Exhibitions and Fairs
CFT – Tertiary Trade Fair Committee
ISFCERT’s certification system, synonymous with transparency and guarantee, is developed in compliance with regional regulations relating to the national trade fair system and with international UFI and ISO protocols. It uses a rigorous data collection methodology, certifying the quality of the trade fair product and related processes to the strictest international standards.
From 2006 to 2023, 1148 certified trade fairs registered in the Italian trade fair calendar relied on ISFCERT to obtain certification according to ISO25639:2008 (certification of statistical trade fair data).

Our growth
In 2005
ISFCERT – Institute for the Certification of Trade Fair Statistical Data was established in 2005 by AEFI, CFI, CFT and Unioncamere, in order to enable its members to fulfil the obligations imposed by some Regions and to meet the need for certainty and transparency of data on international and national trade fair events to enhance the competitiveness of the Italian trade fair offer.
Since August 2005 ISFCERT has been registered in the Register of Certifying Bodies.
In 2012
ISFCERT is the first certifying body accredited by ACCREDIA according to the ISO 25639:2008 standard
On 13 December 2012, the Italian Accreditation Body ACCREDIA resolved to accredit ISFCERT srl as a certifying body for trade fair data, according to the criteria established by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces.
The accreditation of ISFCERT implies that the certifications issued meet the procedures established by the Proprietary Protocol agreed by ACCREDIA with the Conference of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces and consistent with the procedures prescribed by ISO 25639-2-2008 and subsequent variations.
This being said, ISFCERT proposes itself as the certifying body qualified to perform the certification of trade fair data in the manner prescribed by the Convention of 18 July 2012 signed by the Ministry of Economic Development with the AEFI, CFI and CFT Associations, in order to access the public contribution to partially cover the expenses for the certification of international trade fairs included in the Italian Trade Fair Calendar.
In 2013
ISFCERT is an associate member of The Global Association of The Exhibition Industry (UFI)
Since 2013 UFI Accredited Auditors is authorised to issue the UFI STANDARD AUDIT CERTIFICATE (The Global Association of The Exhibition Industry)
In 2021
In the years 2020 and 2021, in the difficult phase of the pandemic and blockage of the organisation of trade fair events in presence, in order to support the activity of organisers, who implemented events in digital form, ISFCERT activated the UNI reference practice – UNIPDR 119/2021- for the certification of digital events.
This certification has made it possible to continue the service in support of the transparent and responsible behaviour, including communication, of exhibition organisers.
In 2023
As the trade fair market reopened and returned to post-pandemic presence mode, there was a further opportunity expressed by the corporate market.
In order to grow more and more, companies are emphasising their products in a strong and distinctive manner and creating branded product lines. We also frequently witness, both in the Italian market composed of small and medium-sized enterprises, and in the international market, merger and acquisition (M&A) operations that represent a strategic lever for development.
In this context, in which corporate brands and product or service brands acquire a significant value, ISFCERT has developed the protocol for verifying the number of trademarks exhibited at trade fairs related to ISO25639:2008 in order to enhance their presence and significant multiplicity.
